Early in 1950 a bulding fund was started by Lance and Tom Rogan for a Catholic Church to be built in Rogersville, Tennessee on a prcel of land on Highway 70 North.  Regular Contributions and sacrifices by Catholic parishioners in the area made it possible to begin construction in 1963.  Prior to construction, several acres of land was donated by W.M. Wickham of Bloomfield, Kentucky.  Parishioners continued to meet at the Pressman Home Chapel for Mass until the new Church was completed.  Then on July 5, 1964, the hopes and dreams of those dedicated Catholics came to fruition with the completion of the present-day Saint Henry Catholic Church.
